This site lets show you many aspects of the Dutch Dragonflies
by way of many photo's and also video's. The last twenty years many volunteers are investigating the dragonfly fauna of The Netherlands very well. So at the moment we know that 71 dragonfly species are living or have visited our country.
Most pictures have been made in the northern part of The Netherlands (provinces of Drenthe, Overijssel and Friesland). All the images in the species pages
are 72 dpi (350 x 260 pixels) - true color (24 bit/pixel) jpeg files. Each file
is about 40 -140 kB. The video's are of Flash Shockwave format.
This site was developed using
FrontPage (by Microsoft). Later on with Adobe Dreamweaver CS4. I am still editing the site. A lot of new videos will be placed. Thanks to the photographers for sending me pictures !
